Design and materials
Material: the BIT stool is made from 85–95% recycled household and industrial plastic waste (low-density polyethylene, LDPE), with 5% new polyethylene added. This gives the stool its distinctive pixelated pattern, so that each piece is unique.
Production: the stool is made by rotational moulding, in which plastic granules are melted at 120°C. The process allows the material to be recycled again and again without harming its properties.
Colour options: four colour combinations are available: black, white, black multi and white multi.
Dimensions and weight
Height: 42 cm
Diameter: 36 cm
Weight: 4.5 kg
Its compact dimensions and light weight make the BIT stool easy to move and suited to a range of rooms.
Uses
The Bit stool is made for use indoors and outdoors, withstanding temperatures from −10°C to +50°C. Its versatility allows several roles:
Seat: suitable as extra seating for unexpected guests or for everyday use.
Side table: ideal in place of a small table or bedside table.
Decorative element: can be used as a stand for a vase or a work of art.
Its durability and weather resistance also make it an excellent choice for the terrace or garden.
Recognition
The BIT stool received Interior Design Magazine’s “Best of Year” award in 2021, recognising its innovative design and function.
